The Foreign Trade Development Association of the Republic of China (referred to as the Foreign Trade Association or the Trade Association) is Taiwan's most important trade promotion organization. It is a public welfare consortium established by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in conjunction with private industrial and commercial organizations to assist the industry in expanding foreign trade. At present, the association has more than 1,300 professional economic and trade personnel at home and abroad. In addition to the Taipei headquarters, it has 5 domestic offices in Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung, 63 overseas offices around the world, and 319 signed cooperation agreements. The agreement’s international trade promotion sister organization has formed a complete trade service network, providing instant services with zero time difference and borderlessness, continuing to pursue the steady development of Taiwan’s economy with manufacturers, and being the industry’s best partner for expanding trade.
