ART THESSALONIKI 2025 - International Contemporary Art Fair

Art is the force that opens new horizons and offers hope for a better tomorrow. In a world constantly seeking change and progress, creating and expressing ourselves through art brings us closer to a more diverse and open world. Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Fair returns for its 8th edition, from 15 to 18 May 2025, and promises to be a unique cultural experience, aiming to inspire and connect people from all over the world. Art-Thessaloniki International Fair is not just an art exhibition. It is a meeting place for artists, galleries, collectors and professionals, which promotes creation and collaboration. Co-organized by TIF-HELEXPO and Pantelis Tsatsis, Founder and Art Director, the Exhibition has managed to be established as one of the most dynamic cultural events in Southeast Europe, bringing together artists, gallerists, collectors and art lovers from the Balkans, Turkey, Russia, China and the USA. What makes Art Thessaloniki Fair so special? In addition to being a dynamic marketing platform for galleries and publishers, the Fair is a cultural partner that facilitates networking and collaborations. It offers a unique opportunity for visitors to meet new artists, view and buy impressive and unique artworks, and connect with industry professionals. Also, the Exhibition includes educational programs and talks, offering a deeper understanding of the art and creators on display. For galleries, it is a great opportunity to promote the work of their artists to an international audience, while collectors can discover new talents and unique artworks. For artists, Art Thessaloniki is a platform to showcase their work to a wider audience, offering recognition and new opportunities. For collectors, the Fair can be an opportunity to discover new artists and artworks (from the Young Artist Awards and the Independent Artists) and to connect with other collectors and industry professionals. Art Thessaloniki is hosted in the center of Thessaloniki, in the modern facilities of TIF-HELEXPO, a few steps from the beach and the emblematic White Tower. Located in one of the most central and historic parts of the city, the Fair attracts visitors from all over the world, boosting the region's cultural tourism and boosting the local economy. One of the most important initiatives of the Exhibition is the Young Artists Awards, which are organized for the 4th year in a row, where young artists up to 33 years of age will have the opportunity to compete for one of the awards, presenting their work in individual stands. Ten artists will be selected by the organizing committee, with the first prize being awarded a cash prize of 1,500 euros and two additional awards of 700 euros. We invite you to be part of this unique experience and discover the art, hospitality and culture of Thessaloniki through the Art-Thessaloniki International Contemporary Fair. The 8th edition of Art-Thessaloniki International Contemporary Fair (May 15-18/ 2025) and the Cultural Society of Entrepreneurs of Northern Greece (PEEBE) are calling for young artists, up to 33 years of age, to participate in the MATAROA AWARDS. Aiming to promote new creators and emerge the artistic potential of the country, MATAROA AWARDS are organized as a competition with thematic exhibition of top 10 artist’s artworks. After this open call process and *portfolio submissions, all the candidates will be evaluated by a special 5-member committee. From all the applicants, only 10 young artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their artwork in a special designed space, for free during 8th Art-Thessaloniki Fair. Committee and public will vote among the selected 10 artists to select the best participation. First winner is awarded with a cash prize of 1,500 euros and 750 euros for the second and third nominees. Also, the remaining seven selected artists, will receive 500 euros each. Additionally, the 10 selected artists will be presented on the websites of Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Fair, www.art-thessaloniki.gr and the Cultural Society www.peebe.gr| www.culturalsociety.gr, while the thematic edition MATAROA will host a special tribute for the first prize winner in the printed and electronic format www.mataroa.gr.
