The organic trade fairs are aimed exclusively at trade visitors, including those from the natural food and health food trade, organic supermarkets, independent retailers/specialty retailers, restaurants and bulk consumers. Exhibitors are companies supplying organic food and natural cosmetics nationwide, as well as the corresponding wholesalers. There are also regional offers such as wineries, beekeepers or cheese dairies. Organic farming associations such as Bioland, Biokreis , Demeter and Naturland present themselves on shared areas with numerous sub-exhibitors. Offers from the health food sector are bundled in the special ReformWelt area under the patronage of Reformhaus eG . All products exhibited at the organic fairs are subject to clear criteria and certification requirements. These are based on the product range guidelines of the Federal Association of Natural Food and Natural Products BNN e. V., which is the patron of the organic fairs, and of Naturkost Süd e. V. Trade with organic. Trade for organic. In 2004, Matthias Deppe celebrated the 10th anniversary of his wholesaler Naturkost Nord with an in-house exhibition. Unlike usual, he not only invited customers and supplying companies, but also opened the in-house exhibition to anyone interested in the organic sector. The response was huge, and a continuation was a done deal - the birth of the BioMessen. Because unlike major international events, they offer a tailor-made platform for the German organic sector and its players. And unlike an in-house exhibition, visitors to the BioMessen not only find the products that their wholesaler has listed, but the entire range of products on offer.
