Increased focus on climate adaptation in cities and on the coasts places demands on landscape architects, consultants, urban planners and others who work with water and climate adaptation. How can we protect ourselves against the water that damages our cities, and how can we in the future adapt our buildings and society to live with water on water's terms? On November 26 and 27, 2025, we open the doors to Charlottehaven and invite you to “Build for Water” – Building Green’s conference on water and climate adaptation in relation to construction. Here we zoom in on the water from the outside, on the water from below and on the water from above. And you are invited! Get inspired from projects across the country as representatives from municipalities, researchers, architects and many more debate and talk about long-term climate adaptation strategies, multifunctional collaborations, the value of user involvement, nature-based solutions, inspiring cases and much more! In Denmark, we are facing major challenges with increasing water volumes – from the coasts, from the rain and from groundwater. But with the challenges also come new opportunities for climate adaptation, and together we must learn about them. This year, we have increased our practical experience with concrete solutions (and challenges), cases and examples very close to the projects and hands-on methods – inspiration, knowledge and tools that you can take home with you. Mark your calendar and join us on November 26 & 27, 2025! Two days in the sign of water and climate adaptation Over two days, we will delve into how we can both protect ourselves against the water that damages our cities, but also how we can adapt our construction and society in the future to live together with water on water's terms. Through expert presentations and discussions, you will learn more about the impact of climate change on our cities and societies, and what conditions we need to adapt to. Hear from some of the leading experts and researchers in the field, get presented with concrete experiences and practical solutions from municipalities, and be inspired by how we can work better together about and with water in the future.
