ITECHMER LORIENT 2025 - Exhibition for Equipment, Processing and Services for the Agro-Fishery Industry and the Shipbuilding Naval Maintenance

ITECHMER “the international fishing trade fair” ITECHMER is the only international trade fair in France dedicated to technologies, equipment and services for the fisheries sector. From capture/production to processing, from shipbuilding to marketing, including R&D, training, administration, ports, etc., the fair is a representative showcase of the sector and its latest developments and innovations. An economic and institutional meeting place, ITECHMER offers business and exchange opportunities that stimulate discussions around the sector's issues. The leading fishing port in terms of value, the leading fishing port in Brittany and the leading port for landing live langoustines, the fishing port of Lorient-Keroman represents an economic sector of 3,000 jobs and 275 companies and a fleet of 130 vessels. Nearly 23,000 tonnes of fresh catch were landed by more than 300 vessels in 2019 and 80 to 100,000 tonnes of seafood products pass through it each year. Since 2007, the port of Lorient has been owned by the Brittany Region, which has entrusted its management to the SEM Lorient-Keroman, of which Lorient-Agglomeration is the majority shareholder. Since 2007, significant investments have been made in the development, planning and equipment of the fishing port. Open to the world and a leading marketplace, Lorient is positioned as a true bridgehead for supplying the French market with new fishing products. The ITECHMER trade fair, a showcase for the Lorient-Keroman fishing port and its innovation approach, is an opportunity to present all the know-how, equipment, technologies and innovations offered by the sector. The recent creation of the GIP Pêche de Bretagne – bringing together all the players in the sector – illustrates the importance of the sector on a regional scale and the desire of the Brittany Region, through shared and coherent management of fishing ports, to coordinate and support "a common investment and marketing strategy for optimal promotion of fishing products on a national and European scale." More than ever, ITECHMER is a major event and a tool for the economic development of the sector.
