Non-Ferrous Metals and Minerals Congress & Exhibition 2024

The history of the Congress dates back to 1995. It was then when in Krasnoyarsk, center of non-ferrous metallurgy and mining industry, «Aluminium of Siberia» was first time held together with the Krasnoyarsk aluminum plant. Over time the Conference attracted new participants and its field of expertise expanded. Later conferences «Gold of Siberia» and «Metallurgy of non-ferrous, rare and precious metals» were added to the program. In 2009 Congress «Non-ferrous Metals and Minerals» combined these events into one major forum.Today more than 700 participants from more than 20 countries take part in the Congress and Exhibition every year. Congress and Exhibition participants are leading scientific, educational, and industrial experts. IMG_5780 Congress is always open for cooperation and supports new ideas and proposals, so throughout the history it was a playground for joint meetings several times: in 2016 the Conference «Metallurgy of non-ferrous, rare and precious metals» was held as a satellite scientific forum of the XX Mendeleev Congress; twice (in 2013 and in 2019) the ICSOBA Conference took place; in 2016 and in 2019 a final of the Russian metallurgucal case championship «Metal Cup» was organised. One of the key event of the Congress is a Round table discussions on different actual topics related to the mining and metallurgy industries. Congress as well as other similar meetings includes Workshops with inviting world recognized scientists and specialists as a lecturers. Name symposia are organised in honor of distinguished representatives of science and production. Besides Congress business part, industrial trips are organised to the enterprises of Krasnoyarsk krai and near regions. Over the years of the Congress participants were able to visit: Krasnoyarsk aluminium smelter, the Gulidov Krasnoyarsk Non-Ferrous Metals plant, Krasnoyarsk metallurgical plant, Gorevsky GOK, Khakas and Sayanogorsk aluminium smelters, Casting-Extrusion Plant «Segal», Achinsk alumina refinery, Krasnoyarsk hydro power station, SCAD and K&K light alloy wheels plants, Siberian federal university. Most of the participants who have had the opportunity to compare, say that in terms of scientific level, organisation and scale the Congress is not inferior, and in terms of cordiality and hospitality it surpasses the corresponding events which are held in other world.
