After 50 years, The London Book Fair (LBF) has become an essential part of the international book trade calendar and is the pre-eminent Spring event of the publishing year. Exhibitors and visitors return year-on-year to develop relationships, gain insights, and set the tone for the year ahead. London at its heart From its very modest beginnings at the Berners Hotel in Westminster, LBF has evolved and grown as an event that is now proud to call London's historic Olympia it's home. Set in the heart of London and with excellent public transport links, visitors to LBF can make the most of their trip to the city by visiting London's sights. What you can achieve by attending LBF LBF is the perfect place for exhibitors to engage with customers, build brand awareness, conduct face-to-face business and make sales. We offer exhibitors all-inclusive, cost-effective packages courtesy of our in-house stand design and build service that help to create the perfect platform to showcase your business. For other publishing professionals and authors visiting LBF, we offer the opportunity to experience carefully curated seminar sessions that provide insights into what is happening in the publishing world. Key themes include: sustainability in publishing, how to get published, literary translation, diversity and inclusion, and emerging trends. Please note LBF is a trade show and we can not facilitate meetings for authors to pitch to agents. What to do at LBF At the heart of LBF is our International Trade Centre (IRC), where there is the opportunity to create meaningful relationships and meet new and existing contacts. Offering private meeting spaces and exclusive services, the IRC provides rights professionals opportunities to sell rights during a critical buying time for the industry. Visitors can experience over 100 seminars across several stages, including the Main Stage, Author HQ, English PEN Literary Salon, Literary Translation Centre, Tech Theatre, Focus Theatre, and the Sustainability Hub. Plus, you can join us in celebrating industry professionals with our Trailblazer and Lifetime Achievement Awards. The Writers’ Summit conference is designed to help authors get their writing noticed by agents, publishers and readers and is held offsite from Olympia. The Academic and Professional Publishing Conference, a 3 day paid conference will meet the growing demand for greater exploration into key industry themes such as business, professional and academic publishing. Diversity and Inclusion at LBF At LBF, everyone belongs. We cultivate a culture of inclusion, where the things that make each of us unique are celebrated. Our exhibitors, attendees, partners and event colleagues are people from a wide variety of backgrounds, making our show stronger and our collective experience richer.
